Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality craftsmanship aligned with Peterson Builders' standards.
- Review assigned tasks daily with Foremen or Site Managers to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Execute framing, structural, and finish carpentry tasks according to specifications.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites.
- Manage and care for company tools and materials responsibly.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors to anticipate material needs and avoid delays.
- Protect and store materials properly, especially when exposed to weather.
- Ensure all completed work meets quality benchmarks before inspection.
- Support overall project goals of timeliness, efficiency, and on-budget completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a residential carpenter or craftsman (framing and finish).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and material handling.
- Proficient with hand and power tools; comfortable reading blueprints and plans.
- Solid math and measurement skills for accurate layout and installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolding.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Safety-minded with knowledge of OSHA and company safety standards.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites across the region.
Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, W-2 employee position.
- Hourly pay range: $25-$35 per hour, based on experience.
- Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional overtime or weekend work available.
